How many enquiries do you need to hit your yearly revenue goal?

Start with the amount of membership revenue you want your gym to generate in a year. This calculator works backward to estimate how many new members and enquiries you need each month.

How many enquiries does a martial arts gym need to reach a revenue goal?

There is no universal number. A gym charging $150 per month with 12 months of average retention has an estimated $1,800 of membership revenue per new member. If 30% of enquiries become members, the gym needs roughly 3.3 enquiries for every new paying student.

Why reverse engineer martial arts gym revenue?

“We want to do $250,000 this year” is not operational by itself. A useful plan asks: How many new members does that imply? How many enquiries does that require? Is our current close rate strong enough? This calculator turns an annual revenue target into a monthly acquisition benchmark.

For a simpler monthly benchmark use the Member Value & Enquiry Calculator. To model paid leads through trials and revenue, use the Martial Arts Gym Lead & Revenue Calculator.

Calculator questions

What these numbers do and do not tell you.

Is member value the same as profit?

No. The calculator estimates membership revenue using monthly price and retention. It does not subtract coaching, rent, payment processing, taxes or other costs.

What if I do not know my close rate?

Use your best estimate for now. Then start tracking enquiries, trials and new members each month. Better measurement makes the calculator more useful.

Does improving conversion always mean changing the website?

No. The bottleneck might be the offer, response time, sales process, trial experience or follow-up. The website is only 1 part of the system.

Should I focus on more enquiries or a better close rate?

That depends on your current numbers. If enquiry volume is already healthy but too few become members, conversion is likely the higher leverage place to investigate. If conversion is strong but volume is low, acquisition may deserve more attention.

Are the results a revenue guarantee?

No. They are simple planning estimates based entirely on the numbers you enter. Actual results depend on your market, pricing, retention, sales process, capacity and many other factors.
